It is an interesting film, but a cautionary tale. The writer was thrown into the whirlpool of Hollywood hype without a paddle, and believed it was real. It seems the publicity generated by Harvey Weinstein's generosity was enough to get the script made by someone else. There are fans out there, but I haven't seen either of the films.
